My Opinion

Petticoat Ranch was hilariously entertaining from the moment Clay McClellan graced my pages. He is a rough tough, man’s man whom marries his deceased twin brothers wife, instantly gaining four daughters. Thinking he’ll love family life, he is in for a ride of his life and soon realizes that handling four screaming, crying young girls just isn’t easy. Plus having a wife that does as she pleases and doesn’t obey him just ruffles his feathers. With Clay, when he tells you to do something, he expects you to listen, obey, and do as he says – that’s how a marriage goes to him,the man is the boss. Soon as he finds out that he is gonna be a father, he constantly tells Sophie to stay in the house, rest, and do no more mans work – which he has a tough time doing as she is used to doing everything for the past last 2 years of her life. Eventually she gives in, obeying and listening to him.

My favorite part, although it may not stand out to others, but I liked it an thought it was adorably cute was when Clay growled and chased after the girls – playing with them. I don’t know, that cute moment just struct me for some reason and became one of my favorite moments of the book.
