My Opinion

After finishing Ian’s story I plowed head first into Mac’s. I didn’t know if it would meet my expectations nor did I know if it would be a good as Ian’s and Beth’s, but lets just say it was very good, quiet satisfying.

I love how Mac is a big strong man’s man but yet he hides a part of him that is broken due to his wife Isabella leaving him 3 years ago. He truly loved her and still does – but he now loves her from a far, giving her time and space to heal from an incident that broke her heart. But after being separated from her he finally realizes an owns up to wanting everything back – her as his wife in more ways than one. So he relentlessly pursues her, trying to win her back but the process isn’t easy as they easily argue and annoy one another plus there is a mad man that is Mac’s doppelganger pretending to be him whom is out to steal his life, his painting career, and more importantly his wife.

I really enjoyed Mac, he was a big personalty an at many times he made me chuckle throughout the book. He was quiet a character that is for sure an I loved reading about him and Aimee – a big strong strapping man whom turns into putty by the mere means of a child. Another thing I love is while this is the second book, the previous main characters from the first book (Ian and Beth) was not forgotten and you got lovely wonderful updates on them – I love it when authors do this with series.

As usual, after finishing this, I went straight into Cam’s, the dark sheep of the family. I cannot wait to see what is in store for him.
