About Me

atimelessmemory.org > About Me

My name is Kimberly an I am perhaps your average mid 20’s whom loves all things pertaining to history – even going as far as watching historical documentaries on tv an indulging in the latest and greatest historical movies / tv shows.

Ever feel like you were born in the wrong era, that you should of lived a lifetime ago in another time? That is how I feel an I suppose that is why I love to take a nose dive into well written novels about a time long forgotten. I secretly wish I could wear lavish beautiful ball gowns with feminine gloves and be swirled around the dance room by a dashing man dressed equally as elegant as I in knee high boots. To be wooed and courted by a chivalrous gentleman with old fashion manners. And to live in a beautiful an elegant plantation. Oh how lovely and charming that would be!

As for my taste in history romance novels, anything will do as long as the synopsis is entertaining, the characters are engaging / humorous, and most of all, the books I read must have BANTER. I love me a good banter between a man an a woman. Currently at the moment I have fallen madly in love with Regency books an I honestly cannot get enough of them. I love how the characters innocently flirt with the opposite gender and how the stories are carried – no detailed intimate scenes are needed like other books to make it work. Everything is practically innocent and sweet. Not that I don’t like those scenes in books, which I do, I think that just what makes a good clean Regency novel work.

Aside from historical’s, I also occasionally read paranormal novels about vampires and werewolves. I will admit, I have been enthralled with vampires ever since I was a little kid an I still am today. I remember when I was about 8 years old and my dad was watching Interview With A Vampire on VHS, which I begged him to let me watch it with him but at the time I wasn’t old enough – eventually I got around to it as I got older and more age appropriate. I also do enjoy watching a good movie or tv show about them as well.

My Favorite Novels / Authors
Lisa Kleypas, can that woman write interesting dialogs and witty scenes – she never fails to make me laugh with her books. Pure talent if I have to say. Love her historical reads an I am wanting to try her contemporary novels as well. At the moment she is currently one of my TOP FAVORITE authors.

Sarah M Eden, anything penned by her immediately becomes a favorite of mine. That lady can seriously do nothing wrong nor write one bad book. I really loved Her Longing For Home / Hope Springs. LOVED THEM!

Danelle Harmon, boy can she write some really humorous male characters – so much so that I have giggling fits every time I read her books. I really enjoyed her de Montforte Brothers series.

Julianne Donaldson, fairly new the to scene but ever since reading Edenbrooke and Blackmoore, I feel in love with her books. I do hope she writes more Regencys.

Diana Gabaldon, which I am sure everyone has heard of her from her popular Outlander series which is amazing but quite long. Also she writes with witty barbs and humorous characters as well.

Karen Marie Moning, writes interesting Highlander novels which she makes her Highlanders oozing sex appeal and makes them built like a brick shit house. They are also quite witty and she makes me tempted to try her Fever series.
